Squats, Pushups

Push-up Exhaustion Test
Incline 6

I was really hoping for 75 today and then possibly reaching my goal of 100 next Thursday.

I suppose I need a new goal now, because I hit 104! Boo-yah.

Round 1: 27
Round 2: 34
Round 3: 21
Round 4: 21
Round 5: 56 (max 34+)

Total: 159

2 minute rest between rounds 7 and 8. I am rethinking my goal of 100 push-ups--not because I don't think I can do it (I can!), but because I wonder if it is the best use of my time. Perhaps 50-75 are sufficient...

Rope Jumps, SL Deadlift, Hang Cleans

3 rounds
20 rope jumps
20 SL Deadlift (75 pounds)
20 Hang Cleans (15 pound DBs)

Time: 18min 26 seconds

I completed the WOD after my push-ups training. On SL Deadlifts, I was having more burn in my triceps (holding up the bar) than I was in my hamstrings.

Push-ups Training
45 second rest
Round 1: 18
Round 2: 18
Round 3: 20
Round 4: 20
Round 5: 14
Round 6: 14
Round 7: 16
Round 8: 42 (max 40+)

Total: 162

I took a 2 minute rest between round 7 and round 8.

Side note:
Turns out my exhaustion was completely warranted these past few weeks. My blood tests on Friday revealed I am anemic. That explains a lot.

Good Mornings, Lunges, Training: Push-ups

I accomplished another goal and didn't even realize it!

Lunges: 15 pound DBs, 10 reps. Perhaps I should have set my sights a little higher :)

WOD
21-15-9
Good Mornings (60 pounds)
Static Lunges (15 pound DBs)

Push-ups Training
60 second rest
Round 1: 28
Round 2: 35
Round 3: 25
Round 4: 22
Round 5: 36 (max 35+)

Total: 146

Today we also had group exercise, but we basically had 3 different workouts. Elizabeth just came back after her surgery (6 weeks ago), Dallas is having trouble with her IT band, and I'm 6 months pregnant.

I also had great difficulty with the push-ups. Every time I make progress, it feels like I take two steps back because I'm gaining weight (and my muscle growth doesn't keep up with it).

Elizabeth:
9-15-21
Step Ups (10 pound DBs)
SL Deadlift (light bar)

Dallas:
75 snatches (17.5 pounds)
20 SL Deadlift (55 pounds)
50 snatches
20 SL Deadlift (65 pounds)
25 snatches
20 SL Deadlift (65 pounds)

Squats Training

My push-up training has taken longer than I expected because I lowered my incline. I decided against pull-up training for a variety of reasons, including the fact that I have so much extra weight on me and it's not necessarily the best use of my time.

I started squat training today so I can reach 200 squats. I really need/want strong legs when this baby comes, so this should help me accomplish that.

Initial Test: 61

OH Squats, SL Deadlift, Incline Press, Push-Ups

3 rounds, 12 reps
OH Squats 37.5#
Straight Leg Deadlifts 65#
Incline Press 45#

Push-ups Training, incline 6
Max: 71
Time: 3min 14 seconds

I wanted to hit 100 today, but I'm just not ready. Hopefully next Saturday.

My hamstrings felt the SL deadlifts immediately. Looks like I need to be doing more of those.

The OH Squats were not too bad. They are getting more difficult since I can't go down quite as far anymore, but the weight was good. I will be at 45 pounds next time around.

Push-Ups

5 Rounds, 120 second rest
1: 22
2: 30
3: 20
4: 20
5: (max 28+) 45

Total: 137

My goal was to reach 100 push-ups at incline 6 before the baby is born. I was planning on 3 more weeks of training before attempting, but I will try to reach 100 tomorrow. If I make it, I'll move down to incline 7.

I tried an unmodified push-up yesterday and I'm almost there, belly and all.

I am resting for at least the first 3 days of this week. I am exhausted and it may be anemia. I'll find out on Thursday.

1: 55 pounds
2: 60 pounds

5: 75 pounds

Shoulder Push Presses
5 rounds, 3 reps
1: 65 pounds
2: 70 pounds
3: 75 pounds

5 rounds, 90 second rest
Round 1: 10
Round 2: 12
Round 3: 8
Round 4: 8
Round 5: (max 12+) 28

The last two days have been rest days and I've spent it stretching. I only gained 4 pounds in my first 21 weeks and then put on 10 pounds in the last 3 weeks. My body is feeling the strain.

Farmer's Walk, Thrusters

3 Rounds
200 m Farmer's Walk (35 pound DBs for 2, 15 pound DBs for last)
Thrusters (37.5 pounds)

Pull-up Training

Push-up Training

60 second rest between each set
Set 1: 14
Set 2: 18
Set 3: 7
Set 4: 7
Set 5 (max 9+): 10

This workout kicked my butt. 200m is a lot further away than I'd like to admit.

Training: Push-Ups

Similar to our reasons for pull-up training, Elizabeth and I are also working on push ups in order to advance our fitness levels and work capacity.

I am currently using our kitchen ledge as my incline since my belly is going to be getting progressively bigger (thus making any form of core workout more difficult).

For pull-ups, Patrick created a program for me. For push-ups, I am using Hundred Pushups as my guide.
